Welcoming Alexis Coates and Kathleen Nisbet Halpin
Every year we’re fortunate to have student associates join our team and bring new perspectives to our process. This year we’re pleased to welcome Alexis Coates and Kathleen Nisbet Halpin!
A bit about our new teammates:
Alexis Coates
Alexis studied mechanical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she published research on therapeutic applications of robotics and cognitive systems to facilitate learning and communication for children with autism. After graduating, she started her career at Boeing as a project engineer developing frontier technologies to enable the future of mobility. In addition to an impressive technical CV, Alexis also founded LOTUS Creations; a digital firm focused on “making space for creativity & guiding founders of color along the journey of claiming their piece of the internet.” She is currently an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School, and is working out of our Cambridge, MA, office.

Kathleen Nisbet Halpin

She then joined Axios, starting as an executive assistant to the founders, and rapidly climbed to become the Director of Strategy. She played an instrumental role in driving the startup’s B2B product offering and other critical projects. She’s currently an MBA candidate at NYU and will be working out of our SoHo office.

We’re thrilled to have Alexis and Kathleen on the team through the next academic year and hope many of you have a chance to meet them soon!
